Early Research Forum

About IEEE ANTS

IEEE ANTS is a premier IEEE conference on advanced networking and telecommunications topics. IEEE ANTS is financially and technically supported by IEEE Communications Society. The distinguishing characteristic of IEEE ANTS is the promotion of an intense dialogue between academia and industry to bridge the gap between academic research and industry initiatives.

Early Research Forum (ERF)

Scope

  • The scope of ERF is to offer a venue to present ongoing research work rather than completed work from early researchers (e.g, Undergraduate/graduate students)
  • The research statement should be clearly identified with three-page limit including:(i) the contribution expected to be in this year theme: “Ubiquitous networking for seamless connectivity”; (ii) clearly stating the addressed problem; (iii) relevant state-of-the-art; (iv) solution to the problem statement; (v) the results achieved so far; and (vi) the future research work directions
  • Submissions will be peer-reviewed by ANTS technical committee to ensure quality, relevance, and potential benefit from attendance to the forum.
  • In addition, the ERF participants will get an opportunity to present a poster in a poster session at the main conference to increase the visibility of their ongoing work and obtain the feedback from the experts
  • In addition to the above poster presentation, the participants will get an opportunity to showcase their papers results as a Demo in the Demo zone of the conference, if any.
  • Excellent opportunity for participants to win awards and gain recognition
  • The participants will get an opportunity to obtain the travel grant

General Eligibility

  • The list of authors is restricted to the student, the supervisor and co-supervisor, if any. In the case where more than one supervisor/co-supervisor is involved in the research work, thus leading to several authors in addition to the student, the ERF symposium chairs must be informed and any official assessment must be provided.
  • Students of accepted ERF papers must register to ANTS 2024 and they are the sole person able to present their work during the event.
  • An official letter from the advisor(s) is required to state the status of the student.

General Submission Guidelines

  • The manuscript must be written in English and formatted according to the standard IEEE two-column format. Templates and examples in Latex and Microsoft Word are available for download at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
  • Papers not matching the length and formatting requirements or violating IEEE’s guidelines on plagiarized content will be rejected without review. Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process and all manuscripts must be electronically submitted through EDAS using the following link: https://edas.info/N32392
  • The ERF submission follows a double-blind review process.
  • The page limit is three pages (strictly) and no additional page will be allowed.

Accepted submissions are published in the conference proceedings and submitted to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, provided that they are duly presented.
